Founded by Karem Sofía, SERES was born from a lifelong devotion to both the healing arts and the world of wine.

A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Karem began her journey through culinary arts before falling deeply in love with the history, ritual, and craftsmanship of wine. She later became a certified sommelier, deepening her understanding of terroir, fermentation, and the living expression of the earth through wine.

During the pandemic, Karem moved to the wine country of Valle de Guadalupe, where two lifelong passions naturally merged: the healing arts and ancestral winemaking.

There, SERES was born.

Inspired by the ancient relationship between humanity and wine, SERES reimagines wine not simply as a beverage, but as ritual — an original elixir crafted in reverence to the earth, conscious living, and our connection to something greater than ourselves.

Made through ancestral methods and guided by intention, SERES honors nature through organic farming, minimal intervention, and deep respect for the living intelligence of the vineyard.

Alongside her work in wine, Karem has spent over a decade practicing energy healing professionally, guiding others through consciousness work, self-healing, and energetic transformation. As part of the creation of SERES, she traveled to sacred sites and energetic vortexes around the world, bringing intention, prayer, and devotion into the spirit of the wine.

Today, SERES stands as an invitation: to slow down, gather, celebrate, and reconnect — with the earth, with beauty, and with the divine.
